A couple hundred plants later...

Mrs. Callicoat et al,

The project's almost done - a couple little paths to put in and a few more things to plant, including a honeysuckle that needs a trellis - but we're almost there. Most of the planting took place over the past two weekends ... and in the rain. Cat wishes she had pictures of *that,* because she's pretty sure they looked a little insane out there in mud-covered ponchos.

This project required a lot of planting. This photo documents one of several car trips, all resembling this:

P.S. Some kitty-traumatized starters actually survived:

Food feeding food.

Garden - year III - is in. This was the first year CatMatt could use their very own compost to prep the soil.

Matt's brilliant creation, the compost sifter:

They had two wheelbarrows full (not too bad, eh?), so they tilled it in:

This year's crops: zucchini, mixed gourds, strawberries, herbs, yellow grape tomato, big Champion tomato, Roma tomato, red grape tomato, cucumber, golden yellow bell pepper, poblano pepper, green beans, and eggplant.
