Bunny patrol.

Bunny invasion in CatMatt's garden less than a week after planting. Crop of lettuces and cauliflower threatened.

Damage done, examples:

Liquid Fence attempted as a first resort. Excruciating, plus the rain washed it away. Therefore:

Not especially attractive, but (so far), it does the trick.

Heiratsantragsjubiläum!

CatMatt got engaged 3 years ago yesterday (aw). And Cat's brother just informed her there's a German word for that, the engagement-versary. And what a word. Awesome.

Backyard beautification.

River rock is / was rampant in CatMatt's backyard as it was in the frontyard. The following photos document CatMatt removing it, re-edging, adding and otherwise fixing soil, planting, and mulching, all on the north side of their house. This was bigtime work, but the good kind. Well, except for maybe the rock moving ...

After beautifying the frontyard last year, CatMatt got started in the back. They removed about half the rock from this part of their yard. And stopped. Mostly because they couldn't take it anymore. This spring, they resumed.

CatMatt picked out a lot of plants. A lot. Shrubs (hydrangea and azaleas) and perennials for the back; and lettuce, cauliflower, and herbs for a little side garden side garden (romaine, buttercrunch, basil, dill, cilantro, and oregano).

Ah. Now grow. Please.
