Garten round two.

CatMatt planted their garden over the weekend. Sunburned and sore, they're hoping for: eggplant, cucumbers, green onions, tomatoes (heirloom and cherry), yellow peppers, and acorn squash in no time.

The garden spent the winter covered in remnants of last spring/summer's annuals to prevent erosion. Not too pretty.

Tilling is really fun. Really.

Ready, plants, excitement.

Planted and fingers crossed.

"New" table decked out with new flowers and a tomato plant (of the patio variety).

Next up, the continuation of the backyard beautification project and the herb/greens garden.

Sprung.

Despite the fact that a bit of snow is forecast for tonight, tomorrow, and the next day (please, no), spring has most certainly sprung in Lafayette. Blooms everywhere, and CatMatt's new tree from the fall is coming back, which = happiness and relief.

The little table that could.

Cat bought an old little table at a flea market last year for potted herbs on the deck. She loves this little table and was sad to see it did not hold up well after a season (plus) in the elements. Cat set out to restore it to its (nearly) new loveliness.
